THOUGHTS ON THE FOURTH OF JULY .. AND LIVING FOR 81 YEARS!

THOUGHTS ON JULY FOURTH … AND LIVING FOR 81 YEARS!!!!

This is July 3, 2021 and I just celebrated my 81st birthday. We are also celebrating over 200 years of our beautiful country’s birthday.

A land filled with all kinds of people — having various skin colors, religious beliefs, cultural, social and even sexual preferences but all having many things in common. Most particularly love of their children and families, desire to make their own decisions about what they want to do and be in their lives. In my 81 years, I have met hundreds of thousands of people from all walks of life, and I can not recall even one who wanted some other person or entity to control his or her life.

Yet swirling around us today, is a movement that seems to be intent on removing so much that we hold dear and makes the USA so special and different from so many other countries.

Things like our history — yes the good and the bad of it . The wonderful gains that were made in my lifetime that brought a racial equality that made it possible for my neighbors and my children’s classmates to wear beautifully different skin tones. To respect, even if we did not share it, people’s decision to bear arms or worship a certain way or, yes, even march to that different drum.

I remember when life of any age was sacred — from those of folks old like me or more importantly, just a week old fetus just starting life. And most certainly one about to be born full-term that now, it seems, can be slaughtered by an abortionists hand!

No our country is not perfect. But we have come along way. And we can and will do better IF THOSE WHO ARE WORKING SO HARD WITH THEIR LIES TO DIVIDE US AND TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOM STOP!

How do we do that? Let’s use our own fine minds with the logic and reason it holds to really consider what is happening and stop drinking that dangerous Kool-Aid we’re being asked to drink. It would also help if we use our fancy computers and smart phones to research — won’t take much time and is not hard — to find out what life in socialist and communist countries IS REALLY LIKE! Might give all of us enlightening perspectives.

It is said that we never really appreciate anything or anyone until we no longer have it. That undoubtedly means health, money, loved ones etc. I fear, if we as a nation do no’t wake up NOW, we will find ourselves missing what was once known as the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. and all that we once had.
